  • Justine's 4710 East 5th Street Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

Never Stop Riding: a wild party at sundown! Film+Rock in our big backyard. Meet us at the mother chapter on 4710 East 5th Street, for the last day of SXSW~~~

From the UK: SSHH- Dirty crazy rock n roll.
This crew is like a superhero band, crashing through the night in a magnificent way. She’s an itty bitty brawler, and he’s played on the world’s stages, the golden son of Ringo Starr, playing with iconic bands his whole life.

“Liguz’s singing voice is flawlessly punk—ice queen Siouxsie Sioux, with the spunk of Johnny Rotten and the balls to take on any genre of music.”
– RIFF Magazine

“The duo deliver a faithful, but blistering cover of “Problems” alongside Matlock and Cook, with Liguz injecting her melodic vocal turn with plenty of Johnny Rotten-esque snottiness.”
– Rolling Stone Magazine

Born and raised around Holly Springs, Mississippi, Cedric Burnside, grandson of legendary R.L. Burnside and son of drummer Calvin Jackson, has been playing music all his life. He has developed a relentless, highly rhythmic charged style that takes the blues to another level. This four-time winner of the prestigious Blues Music Award’s Drummer of the Year (2010-2014) is widely regarded as one of the best drummers in the world.

From Houston & NY: Bushwick Bill ft. Lagato Shine
That’s right, the legend: Bushwick Bill, the Jamaican-born rapper, member of the equally legendary hip hop group Geto Boys! He’s bringing with him Long Island emcee Lagato Shine, “New but not a New Jack”. That phrase depicts not only his neophyte hunger and enthusiasm, but it denotes his reentry into the rap landscape equipped with the wisdom of a journeyman.

From LA: Rocco Deluca
Rocco’s a one-of-a-kind genius who sometimes drops in on us when he’s roadtripping the United States, and plays late-night sets that are eerie, spiritual, hypnotic, soul-opening, shifting and hard. He’s a mesmerizer. You don't want to miss him.

"The echoes of Neil Young, Robert Plant, Jeff Buckley and Pearl Jam blend into something unique, especially when performed live... packs the heat and rocks aggression to work your way into your head and stay there.

"... intensely cathartic, emotionally charged ..."

Sunset will slip us all into night time with:

A Screening of “SUGAR AND SPADE” a lyric, touching, bad-ass documentary by Dos Caminos. Directed by Mark MacInnis, this film chronicles the friendship of 'Spade' George and Austin ‘Brown Sugar’, two life-long friends, brought together in the late ’60s by their mutual love for powerful custom-built motorcycles. Being among the first African-American chopper riders in NYC and inspiring the next generation is only part of the story. Music by our dear friend Rocco Deluca, a soundtrack that is deep, raw, moving, and deftly matched to the story of these two riders.

an exclusive preview of: BORN WITH IT: Blues in the Blood
A preview of the deeply moving documentary by Alexander Koffler, Born With It is Cedric Burnside’s story: the story of growing up in a poverty stricken backcountry hamlet where the unique combination of rhythm, unconventional song structures and something known as “the hypnotic boogie” are as much a part of the environment as the warm, damp air. Here, in Holly Springs, a music tradition rooted in West Africa has its home. “The blues,” Cedric declares, “aren’t a lament. They aren’t a guilt trip about wrongdoing. They’re a way to cope when life is hard, and a way to rise above it and find peace.”

It’s the very last day of madness, dear loves… we’ll have a mescal tasting bar set up in the courtyard, a big stage, a film screen, neon lights and beautiful debauchery, all kinds of souls washed up on our shores. Don’t give in, ride through the night….. NO BADGES NEEDED! xox
